How I became a translator.
After my A-Levels, I graduated as a European Business Assistant at Bénédict Akademie, School of Applied Languages and Economics in Koblenz, Germany. Subsequently, I earned a Bachelor's degree in International Business from Northumbria University, in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK.
Following this first university degree, I worked as a project assistant for a company operating in the IT and software development industry for two years. During this time I longed to practice my language skills, so I started working as a back office assistant for Spain and Latin America in a Dutch company operating in the chemical industry. While assisting the sales managers in Spain and Latin America with the entire order management and distribution processes, I was able to put my language skills in English, French and Spanish into practice. But as I had the chance to translate documents, I discovered my real passion: translation.
In 2009 I obtained a degree in Translation Studies from the renowned Institute for Translating and Interpreting of the University of Heidelberg.
During my studies I worked within the finance and administration department of SAP AG in Walldorf, Germany. Thanks to internships in major translation agencies in Luxembourg, I established my first contacts within the translation industry of the financial centre of Luxembourg.
This enabled me to start as an in-house translator in a translation agency specialising in financial and legal translations in Luxembourg after I had completed my degree.
Since 2015 I have been working as a freelance translator, providing high-quality translation services in English, French, Spanish and German. Thanks to my solid linguistic skills and substantial knowledge in business, finance and law, I am able to offer you professional translations.
Benefit from my long-term experience and passion for translating - for your own success!
